1974 - Emirates Gas was established under the vision and initiative of the late Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum
1975 - Commencing LPG bottling operations near Dubai Creek
1981 – A larger scale bottling plant was set up in Jebel Ali
1982 – Bottling companies were set up in Ajman and Fujairah
1990 – A distribution centre in Umm Al Quwain was established, later upgraded to a bottling facility
1990 – Emirates Gas distribution centre in Al Qusais and caters exclusively to cylinder, which gave convenient and easy access for the distributors.
1991 - The Emirates Gas Aerosol Propellant (EGAP) processing facility was to the Jebel Ali plant, making it the first in the region, and has opened up new markets for Emirates Gas making it an eco-friendly company
2002 – 2004 - Emirates Gas revamped its Jebel Ali plant. New storage tanks were installed, additional tanker loading bays were installed, in addition to incorporating a new cylinder filling carousel incorporating the latest technology and a modern administrative building.
2006- 2012 – Several new products and applications introduced – Cutting Edge Gas, Pro-Power, R-290, Cool Gas
2016 - Emirates Gas; one of the founding members of WLPGA, has joined the membership of WLPGA Industry Council
2017 – Dubai has won the bid to host the World LPG Forum, organised by the World LPG Association, in Dubai in 2020.
