Dubai, UAE; 19 November 2017: Dubai won a global bid to host the 2020 edition of the prestigious World LPG Forum, an event organised by the World LPG Association (WLPGA), the authoritative voice of the global liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry. The primary goal of the Association is to add value to the sector by driving premium demand for LPG, while also promoting compliance to good business and safety practices.
WLPGA brings together over 250 private and public companies operating in more than 125 countries involved in one, several or all activities of the industry, develops long-term partnerships with international organisations, and implements projects on local and global scale.
ENOC Group will host the event in Dubai in 2020. ENOC was among 14 other government departments that collectively put in the winning bid that supports the global position of the UAE in the energy sector.
The bid was supported by Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Ministry of Energy, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, Road & Transport Authority, Dubai Police, Dubai Airports, among other local and regional oil & gas majors.
